1. What Hupeng is

Hupeng only provides tools for posting and browsing events, notes and giveaways. We do not organise, host or supervise any event, and we are not a party to any event, giveaway or other arrangement between users.

2. Use your own judgement

Whether to join an event, whom to meet, and whether to give away or accept an item are your own decisions, and you are responsible for their consequences. We cannot verify the truth or accuracy of the identities, backgrounds, event details, fee descriptions or item conditions that users enter.

3. Staying safe offline

Meeting in person carries risk. Meet in public places and tell family or friends your plans. Take part in outdoor, sports or drinking events only within your limits, and don't push yourself when you feel unwell or the weather is bad. In an emergency, call 110 (police) or 119 (ambulance and fire) directly.

4. Fees and money disputes

We never handle any money. Event fees are set and collected in person by the organiser and have nothing to do with us. Participants should judge for themselves and beware of money disputes. Giveaway items are given free of charge, and we make no warranty as to their quality, safety or whether they match their description.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any bodily injury, property damage or other loss arising from taking part in events, meeting in person, handing over items, disputes between users, or content posted by users. This does not apply to damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

6. Illegal activity

Using Hupeng for any illegal activity is prohibited, including but not limited to fraud, pyramid schemes, illegal trading, stalking or harassment, procuring prostitution, and offences involving minors. If we find such activity we will remove the content, suspend the account and, where necessary, provide information to the police and other authorities. The person responsible bears all legal liability.

7. Reporting

If you come across a suspicious event, post or user, please use the in-app report feature. We will act on it promptly.
